“The wound is the place where the light enters you.” – Rumi.

A graduate Social Work student at the University of Toronto with an undergraduate background in Psychology, Alexandra brings clinically relevant skills combined with a warm, empathic disposition to work collaboratively with clients. Channelling a trauma-informed, attachment-focused and strengths-based approach, Alexandra strives to help clients identify their needs, process their emotions, explore their identities and relationships as well as empower clients to bring about the changes they wish to see in their lives.

Supporting clients and families around mental health and addiction challenges in healthcare and community settings over the past six years helped Alexandra develop an understanding of respect, trauma-informed care, openness and curiosity towards culture and skills in rapport building, active listening, emotional and mental health support and fundamental assessment skills. She has also participated in dozens of trauma workshops and introductory courses in cognitive behavioural (CBT) and solution-focused (SFBT) therapy. Alexandra is also actively expanding her therapeutic toolkit to better tailor treatment to clients' needs.
